Awarded to some of Inquisitor Sand’s acolytes by the leadership of the 43rd Company of the Cadian 99th following their successful mission into the crashed Genestealer-infested Imperial Cruiser, the Ardent Crown, to shut down the ship’s engines before they self-immolated and destroyed the capital hive city of Solace and the surrounding countryside.

Bio:
When the 43rd Company of the Cadian 99th was wiped out while protecting an Adeptus Mechanicus research station on Hervara from a subterranean Ork assault, the grateful Tech-Priests sought to repay their saviors. The Magi recovered twelve chainswords, all spattered in the gouts of dark Ork blood, and reforged them, creating elaborate scenes of valor against the alien menace in shining filigree across the blades and replacing the snapped and shattered teeth with a mysterious metal wrought through their techno-arcane arts. Now, these heirlooms are carried by the 99th’s most esteemed heroes.
