The planet of Tranch was once a thriving hive world but decades ago its mutant and psyker population attempted an uprising under the leadership of a heretical organization called the “Pale Throng” who are lead by cult leaders called Shroud Masters. On the brink of annihilation, the Imperial forces managed to stop the rebellion, but the rebel forces were not completely destroyed and continue to plague the planet of Tranch. Large sections of the planet are still controlled by the rebels and the planet is a hellish place in a constant state of war with no end in sight. Many Imperial Guard Regiments are rotated to the Tranch War Zone to supplement the planet’s depleted PDF Troopers.

The Pale Throng and the Current Campaign

The Acolytes of Cell:C2 fought with members of the Pale Throng during their mission to secure/terminate an Inquisitor turned heretic/criminal named Forlorn Gaul who was being protected by the Throng during his business meetings in which he was supplying the Throng with weapons and equipment.
