The Talon Corporation was a black marketeer organization of some prominence within the Calixis Sector. Founded by small group of successful Rogue Traders, criminals and merchants, it specialized in the acquisition and selling of all manner of illegal items within the Imperium but its main commodity was illegal technology and Xenos-related items. It’s most notable figure was one of the organization’s co-founders, a man known only as the Scorpion. The Scorpion was linked to the deaths of several Imperial officials, including members of the Inquisition. The Scorpion was also noted for his ability to secure many sensitive or illegal items that were deemed “impossible” to acquire due to their storage location being unknown, the level of security protecting the items or both. The Scorpion’s ability to plan operations to locate and secure these items (most notably the stealing of an Exterminamtus Warhead from and Imperial Navy Crusier) has lead many to speculate that the Scorpion has contacts in high levels of the Calixis government, possibly even the Inquisition itself.

The Talon Corporation and the Current Campaign

On the planet of Tranch, Inquisitor Sand of the Ordo Xenos,and a team of his acolytes, were able to track the Scorpion and terminate him at a Pale Throng safe house. This termination ended a three year long war between Sand and Gaul which cost both organizations much in the terms of manpower and infrastructure. At one point, Gaul’s campaign against the Inquisitor was nearly successful in framing Sand as the man responsible for the charges that Sand was pursuing Gaul for. Further inquires by Inquisitor Soldevan of the Ordo Hereticus were able to clear Sand of the charges and prove his innocence.
